Netflix Optimizer ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No browsing history is recorded
• No account information or credentials are accessed
• No usage analytics or telemetry are sent to any server
• No third-party tracking is used

Local Storage

The Extension uses chrome.storage.sync solely to save your in-extension preferences (such as audio channel settings, bitrate override toggle, and codec options). This data is stored locally in your browser and synced via your Google account's built-in Chrome sync — it is never sent to the Extension's developer or any third party.

Permissions

• declarativeNetRequest — used to redirect Netflix's player script to a locally bundled patched version. No network traffic is intercepted or logged.
• storage — used only for saving your preferences as described above.
• Host permissions (netflix.com, nflxext.com, nflxso.net) — required to apply the player patch on Netflix pages. No data from these pages is read or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not communicate with any external servers, APIs, or third-party services.
